As a Certified Athletic Trainer in the Seattle area for several years, Laura incorporated acupuncture into her health-care practice upon noting the benefit acupuncture had to the injured athletes she worked with. Acupuncture enhanced their healing time, and reduced their pain along with swelling and inflammation—without the dangerous side affects of many drugs.
After graduating from the prestigious Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, Laura found work in one of the largest and most successful acupuncture clinics in the United States. In that environment, she trained exclusively in the Balance Method of Richard Tan, OMD. Refining her skills in that setting, Laura’s mentor referred to her as a “great acupuncturist.”
Soon to become CCN certified, Laura continues to pursue her interest in whole-food nutrition and hormone endocrinology. With acupuncture, athletic training, and whole-food nutrition, she combines the best of Eastern medicine theory with the best of Western medicine concepts. Utilizing these objectives, she believes in treating one’s whole person—naturally.
